Summer Fete at Grosvenor House
Grosvenor House Nursing Home in Alvechurch dedicated their summer fete on Saturday 21st June 2014 in aid of the Kidderminster & District Prostate Cancer support group. The charity was chosen by one of our Directors, Mr Kamal Khan, as Professor Bob Davies who is the founder member of the support group was also the Head of Department at the University of Birmingham when Kamal was studying there. The Prostate Cancer support group will put the funds raised towards the cost of Rory the Robot (the Da Vinci Surgical System) for the Worcestershire NHS. The robot would mean surgeons operate though a few small incisions instead of a large incision which is a more affective and the least invasive treatment for prostate cancer.
